NOEL, MO.--- An annual Christmas card tradition is continuing in a small Southwest Missouri town. People from around the world send their Christmas cards to the Noel, Missouri post office to receive the Christmas postmark. This year, cards have been shipped from England and France. More than 30 volunteers help stamp the tens of thousands of cards that come in. The tradition began in 1932, at its peak, more than 100,000 cards were shipped to Noel.

"We're pretty close to being on track for last year, which was around 80,000. Currently, we're just shy of 24,000 and that's a week and a half away," said Don Spiares, Noel Postmaster.

If you would like to get your cards postmarked, you need to bundle them together and mail it to "Postmaster" Noel, MO. 64854
