NEOSHO, MO.--- Students in Neosho got up early this morning to make their mark on a famous hill. The annual "Painting of Senior Hill" was held today at Neosho High School. Since the 1950's, students paint the hill with their names and artwork. The students lined up before 8 a.m. and race to get the best spot at the top of the hill. The area hardware stores order extra paint for the students to prepare for the celebration. Students say it's something they look forward to and will never forget.

"Brings everyone together and have a last event to do with your graduating class," said Kylee Hulsey, Neosho Senior.

Many of the students will stop by the local car washes to clean themselves before going home.
