MIAMI, OK.--- A few hundred future inventors were in Miami for an annual science fair. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College hosted it's 54th Annual Science and Engineering Fair. A few hundred students packed the student ballroom and judges graded them on several different categories, like originality and the scientific method. One project examined flat worms and how they're able to regrow certain parts of their body, which could be useful for humans, especially burn victims.

"If you could shave a day off a burn victim that's a good improvement to what we're working with," said Matt Cordero, Grove High School.

The winner of the competition will compete in the state science fair and could lead to nationals.
