CARTHAGE, Mo. - Dzung Nguyen traveled 15 hours in the car from North Carolina to sell Boba drinks. He says with 70,000 people, most all of them are thirsty. Boba drinks are similar to fruit smoothies, but have boba in the bottom, which is similar to tapioca pearls. The restaurant hopes to sell 9,000 drinks to raise money to build a new church. But selling is tough with your competition literally next door.
"When people walk by, they only have a few seconds to look at our booth. So we really got to stand out and make them want to come to our booth," said Andrew Huynh, Sells Boba Drinks.
The restaurant plans to raise $20,000 to help build their new church in North Carolina.
