Brad's Beat: Little Balkans Day Competition

PITTSBURG, KS.--- More than a dozen area seniors are showing off their talents in Pittsburg. A senior king and queen crowning of the Little Balkans Competition was held today at the Meadowbrook Mall. The contestants showed off their various talents. Some danced, some sang and others painted. This is the 19th year for the competition and organizers say the seniors look forward to it each year. 

"Show their talents, show that just because you're in a nursing facility doesn't mean you are there to die, you're still active," said Shelley Gromer, Organizer. 

Edna Mae March was crowned queen and Maurice Tuttle was crowned king for this years Little Balkans Competition.
