JOPLIN, MO.--- The artist of the "Hope Wall" in Joplin is headed back to the East Coast. Vinny Alejandro is headed back to Buffalo, New York for a new job and to purse his art. He came to Joplin to help with the search and rescue efforts. He decided to create a mural at 20th and Main with signs of hope and encouragement. Hundreds of people have added autographs and words of inspiration to the mural. Alejandro says Joplin will always have a special place in his heart.

"It taught me a lesson for as never take anything for granted. Just do what you have to do and what you're passionate about. Things will come from it," said Vinny Alejandro, Artist.
