PITTSBURG, KS.--- A few hundred Pittsburg students had a chance to ride on the Polar Express. George Nettles Elementary students received the special ride because of their reading skills. All the students reached their accelerated reading goal. The students say one of their favorite books is the Polar Express and it's very cool to ride a magical train. The students were able to wear their pajamas just like in the story, and they wish they could wear them everyday.

"Well, we wouldn't have to have your parents knocking on your doors saying just pick something. You just have to get on your P.J.'s," said  Kaleigh Kunkel, 10 Years Old.

The train used for the Polar Express was originally built in 1956 and has since been restored with hours of hard work and some Santa magic.
