NEOL, MO.--- The Independent Living Center is building a ramp for the Peter's family in Noel, Missouri. Their 15-year-old son Austin has cerebral palsy, and he needed help with his wheelchair to get into the home. The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation gave the center a $1,000 grant to build the ramp for Austin. The family says it will greatly improve Austin's quality of life.

"Completely easier to get him in and out and load him in our van to take him outside when the kids go out. Right now, he's pretty much confined to the front porch if the other kids are out playing or running around. So he'll be able to be taken up and down by any of us now," said Sudawn Peters, Austin's Mother.

The family says they are so grateful to the Reeve Foundation for their generosity.
