JOPLIN, MO.--- Workers at Freeman Health System were flipping for a good cause. Workers at the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals were cooking pancakes inside the lobby of the hospital. People were given a short stack for a donation to CMN and the money will go to help families with sick children. The group provides gas money to help with trips to Kansas City and St. Louis. The funds also provide medical equipment for the children.

"We help kids age birth to 21 with medical needs. Freeman Health System is our CMN hospital. That money goes back to help with the neonatal intensive care unit. A couple years ago we did a $1.5 million dollar expansion and we also get to do direct family assistance, which helps children in our community," said Heather Lesmeister, CMN Program Director.

IHop in Joplin will also give away a short stack of pancakes tomorrow for a donation to CMN.
