CARTHAGE, MO.--- Sarah Johnson works for Bright Futures in Carthage, she is collecting shoes for less fortunate students. The program is called "Share Your Soles."

So far, the program has served more than a hundred students in Carthage. Johnson says having a bad pair of shoes can throw the kids day off.

"Kids are coming to school, they're going to be focused on their sore feet rather than their studies. That's one thing we want to help with," said Sarah Johnson, Bright Futures, Carthage.

They hope this month long shoe drive will bring in plenty of options for the kids, so far they're off to a good start.
