JOPLIN, MO.--- I'm sure you've heard of April Fools Day and Earth Day happening this month, but what about National Librarian's Day? The holiday is being celebrated today to honor the men and women who inspire the next generation to become life long readers.

Katie Moore is a librarian at Royal Heights Elementary School in Joplin. She says it's nice to have a holiday honoring her day job.

"I didn't get a cake or balloons, but the thought is enough for me," said Katie Moore, Librarian.

"She's really nice. She's like a regular librarian, but she's not old," said Rachel Nelson, Reader.

If you're wondering about some other weird holiday's, on Thursday, it's National High Five Day. So, just go up to a random stranger and give them five.
