JOPLIN, MO.--- A lot of collectors were in between a rock and a hard place today and that was just fine with them. A 3 day "Rock Swap" show started in Joplin today. It's being held at Schifferdecker Park.

Collectors are selling gems, jewelry and minerals. People come from hundreds of miles to come to this show every year. However, you won't find many diamond fans in the crowd. They think the rock is over valued and not the best thing to give to your future wife.

"As a wedding ring, I had jade. I didn't want a diamond. I thought they were overpriced and I wanted something different," said Sharon Waddell, West Planes Resident.

The rock show will also continue Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. It is being held at Schifferdecker Park near the Joplin Museum and is free to the public.
