Brad's Beat: Freeman Healthy System Cook

JOPLIN, MO.--- Cooking for a family of 4 can be tough, but imagine cooking more than a thousand meals a day. Patricia Iversion has been a cook at Freeman Health System for 26 years.

She says it's nice to cook in the new $5 million kitchen. In those decades of service, she's helped prepare more than 6 million meals. She gets to work everyday at 4 a.m. and has never had an alarm clock to wake her up.

"My body is just conditioned to it. I'm glad I don't have to rely on an alarm. Some people have 2 alarm clocks and don't get to work on time," said Patricia Iversion, Freeman Cook.

Before working at Freeman, Pat worked at the old Rafter's restaurant on Range Line in Joplin. She worked there for 18 years, that's more than 40 years of serving food for a living.
