Baxter Springs Fills Vacant City Council Seat

BAXTER SPRINGS, KS.--- The Baxter Springs City Council picks their replacement after Stanley Pickering resigned. Council members appointed Dean Auman to fill the vacancy until the April council election. Pickering resigned January 31st, a day after being arrested for inappropriate contact with a child. He had worked for the last year and a half as a crossing guard at Lincoln Elementary School, he resigned from that position the day of his arrest.
