NEOSHO, MO.--- Donations are rolling in for Neosho's Bright Futures Backpack Program. Two weeks ago, Bright Futures issued a code red for their Backpack Program. Since then, Wal-Mart and Griffith Motors has been collecting food items from the Neosho community. So far, they have accepted $500 each in donations and decided to match that. The food may look like a lot, but it will only last a week in order to fill 300 backpacks. Bright Futures is still in need of food donations, but is grateful for what they have.

"When we ask for a need, it's been overwhelming, the overwhelming response. I know our community wants to continue that support. So if you're at the store, and if you can pick up and extra item that we use in the Backpack Program, every donation helps us," said Barb Lake, Neosho Bright Futures.

You can drop off your donations in Neosho at Wal-Mart, Griffith Motors, the YMCA or Bright Futures.
