71st Annual Carver Day Event

DIAMOND, MO.--- The celebration will be held at the monument in Diamond. The event is to honor George Washington Carver and his accomplishments. Some of the celebration will include live music, guest speakers, and activities for the kids. Park staff say this event is important to community members. 

"This is the 71st year of the establishment of the park and it's a way for us to celebrate George Washington Carver's accomplishments, as well as the establishment of this park," said Curtis Gregry, Park Ranger.

The event is this Saturday, July 12th, starting at 10 a.m. and admission is free.
