150 Jobs Available in Joplin

JOPLIN, MO.--Up to 150 jobs are opening up in Joplin.

That's what the Executive Director for the Workforce Investment Board Jasen Jones says.

He says the Missouri Recovery Jobs Program is ramping back up for spring.

Since the tornado hundreds of people lost their jobs, but this temporary program has helped put many back to work.

Jones says now there are more offers for construction and labor positions in the Four States.

Jones says, "We're seeing employers place a lot more job orders with us..starting to do more hiring..both for the regular summertime activity. This being the economic hub of the region, and also some with the recovery phases that are starting to come in for spring 2012."

You can find out more about these jobs at the Missouri Career Center in Joplin at 8th and Wall.

They are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
