MSSU Drops Close One At Northwest Missouri

The Lions picked up their first road loss of the season against the Bearcats, 79-78.
MARYVILLE, MO. --

The number 1 and the number 2 in the MIAA squared off tonight in one of the best conference games of the season. The Lions led 42-32 at the half, but turnovers proved to be costly in the second. The Bearcats star guard Deshaun Cooper hit the go-ahead 3 in the final seconds of the game to help them pull out the huge victory.
The Lions are now 13-3 in the MIAA. They face Missouri Western at Leggett and Platt Saturday at 3 p.m.
