Joplin, Missouri - Dr. Larry Brothers graduated from University of Missouri School of Optometry, St Louis, MO in 1984. This followed his undergraduate training at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, MO where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He received his certification in diagnostic/therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and later became certified in treatment and management of glaucoma patients from the University of Missouri College of Optometry in St. Louis. Dr. Larry practices all aspects of primary optometric care, including contact lenses, treatment of eye diseases, pathologies, infections, and disorders, and co-manages pre and post operative care of patients choosing refractive LASIK surgery and cataract surgery with area ophthalmologists. Dr. Larry is currently a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, SW MO Optometric Society, member of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society, American Optometric Association and the Missouri Optometric Foundation. He maintains active membership with the Joplin Chamber of Commerce and Joplin Rotary Club. Dr. Larry Brothers was born and raised in Joplin, attended Joplin schools, and is currently an active member with the Second Assembly of God. He likes to spend his free time with his wife Rosie, and their son, Dalton, who attends MSSU in Joplin.
