Havana, Cuba is her favorite place that reporting has taken her! In 2012, Felicia served as production
assistant for a documentary being produced on the 100th Anniversary of the Afro-Cuban Race War of 1912. By the third day, she successfully secured a position on-air to produce and report a lifestyle segment centered on an exiled Afro-Cuban-American.

She has also worked in Chicago with reporters and helped cover the historical Chicago Teacher's Strike, 2012
elections, and the NATO Conference.

After modeling for a year after college, Felicia decided it was time for television and two weeks later she
found herself looking for a mattress for her new apartment in Joplin! "Television media is an exhilaratingly powerful field and I plan to use it as a platform to inspire all people to become better human beings. I'm excited to be a part of the KSN Local News team and I feel beyond privileged to make Joplin my new home."

She is a self-proclaimed Dog Whisperer who loves traveling internationally, dance, sci-fi movies and learning new languages. In her spare time, you can find her eating at a restaurant or mentoring young girls at church.

Felicia Lawrence was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. In 2012, she graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina A&T State University and is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
